Black Shoes Obsession

Okay here is my problem.  I own almost no black shoes.  At the beginning of Fall I purchased all the shoes i wanted for the season and thought I was all set.  Turns out all the shoes I ordered are primarily brown and lately I have been dying over any pair of black shoes because I think they are all so amazing.   I'm probably just having a withdrawal from black shoes but anyways here are some that I NEED.

These black booties are the shoes I want/need the most.  They are at the top of my Christmas list because they do cost $180 so I don't think I want to use my babysitting money on them.  But, they are perfection.

Next, for some grungy boots, I like these ones.  I like how these look like sneakers, but they have a heal.  Real cute.

I don't think I could ever wear these shoes, unless maybe if i was in college and going to some cool fashion event.  Then MAYBE.  But, I do think they're awesome and I wish I had the gut to work these.

Classic black sneakers.  These look like vans, but they are actually from Forever 21 for around half the price of normal Vans.  they are cute and simple and I want a pair.

Finally, these cute suede black flats.  Simple and adorable, and affordable because these are also from forever 21.  This style of shoe, whatever it is called (I should know what it is called since this is supposedly a fashion blog) I have been obsessing over.

Everyday Fall Outfit

I am always in need of a classic, sophisticated, cute, and warm outfit, and I have the perfect look for the Fall.  Jean jackets are a fall necessity because they keep you warm, but don't overheat you in the afternoon when it heats up.  With my jean jacket I paired a black skater skirt and a white tank top, can't go wrong with those pieces!  Then of course combat boots since it is Fall and what else are you going to where?  I live in new England so we have a chilly fall, therefore I put grey tights with my outfit, but thats totally optional.

This creates a very neutral look that is appropriate for several occasions- whether it is going out to dinner, heading to school, or relaxing with your friends.  I chose this outfit for school.  I had a pretty busy day at school because i missed half of the day on Friday (eek) so I had to go in and makeup work.  So fun!

My Version
Jean Jacket and White tank top both from American Eagle (I love this jacket, it has lasted me almost two years and it still seems new!)

My blog pictures didn't come out too well because the lighting was really weird or maybe my mom just struggles with taking pictures- who knows!

Until next time!

Organizing Makeup

In the morning it is always a rush to get ready, and I am always exhausted from staying up late studying the night before.  When you're in a rush, the little things make a difference.  Like having your makeup organized so you know where everything is and don't have to waste 30 seconds looking for a single product.  This is how I organize my makeup.

1. Eyeshadow

So this is one of my drawers in my bathroom.  I put 3 smaller boxes into the big drawer to divide everything into a more organized way.
In the first box I have individual eyeshadows as well as several trios.
In the middle area I mostly have my bigger palettes like the Naked Basics and other the Physics Formula palette for blue eyes- these are my go-to eyeshadows so I keep them on top.
In the last box I have three palettes that I rarely use, I got them really cheap at E.L.F.  I also have a two brush holders that I use when I travel sitting in there.

2. Lips
I got these little containers that you'll see a lot at the container store and they help so much for organizing!  I put my tall lipsticks/glosses in this container.

Then I put my smaller lip glosses, lipsticks, lip stains, and chapped sticks into this similar container.

3. Brushes

Again I use a go to container and just pile my brushes into there.

4. Primers
In this cute container I put all my primers which are all really little and I have so many because they all come in my BirchBox, then this container has a strap so I hang it from a hook in the wall.

3. Other Face/Eye Products
I have another container which is split into three sections so...
In the first I put eyeliner and mascara.  I put an elastic around all the mascaras and another around the eyeliners because then it is easier to find which one I'm looking for.  I also have my eyelash curler (which is pink and so amazing) and my beauty blender (my life depends on my beauty blender) in the same section.
In the middle are my bronzers, blush, and highlights.  I just stack them up.
And finally, I keep a variety in this last section.  I have powder, one blush, two eyebrow gels, concealer, booster, highlighter, and BB creams. S o its just the random stuff that didn't fit anywhere else.

Moral of the story, buy a ton of containers and then organize what goes where.  I didn't include my foundations just because I only have two and they just sit on top of my counter.

Bonus Blog: Halloween Costumes

Every Halloween, my school dresses up and we all sport out a Halloween Costume.  Sounds very 'elementary school' but it is actually fun getting to dress up again, and let me tell you- some kids go all out.  Whether or not your school dresses up, you may find yourself in need of a costume for parties, trick or treating, or in my case- school.

I put together three simple outfit ideas for Halloween.  I tried to make the outfits have mostly items you would find at home- but a couple of the things would probably need to be purchased- for a very low price.

Outfit #1 Black Cat
You probably already have black leggings, a black tank, any black shoes (I chose Uggs), red nail polish, and maybe a black bow or tattoo choker (as those are in right now).  For this look, the only thing you may need to invest in are cat ears, and possibly some face paint.  I love this look because wearing all black is the way to go, and the red nails add for a nice pop.

Outfit #2 Army Girl
This is probably my favorite outfit out of the three.  First, pair any combat boots you own with some kind of army green bottom ( I chose a skater skirt, pants, or leggings would do too).  Then I paired the skirt with a cropped army patterned top- which you can find for less than 15$ at Forever 21.  I added a bucket hat to the outfit and decided black nails with a army green accent nail would look the best.  Then I paired a black with gold studded bag to complete the look.

Outfit #3 Chic Indian

This look is beyond cute and for Halloween at my school this year, is probably what I will be wearing.  It is pretty simple to put together too.  First, you need a long brown dress- or what I think is even better is an XL men's t-shirt and then you can cut it to your desire.  Then, a pair of moccasins which most people already have so no need t go out and buy some.  My favorite part is the jewelry.  Gather a ton of fun brackets (preferably with some turquoise) and layer them.  Then I chose a turquoise necklace to add to the costume.  Finally, a feather hippie band, you can make one or buy one cheap some place like Claire's.
Hopefully you like one of these ideas!

How to get a Bohemian Room

I am obsessed with all the bohemian, gypsy rooms and for my birthday this year I want to redo my room so I have been searching every corner of the internet for different room styles that appeal to me. And of course for the perfect furniture, pillows, and bedding.

My attention has gone straight to the Bohemian rooms and today i'm showing you the steps in making your room a perfect bohemian setting.  First, a few examples of perfection.

This first room I love because of all the different pillows and how the bed looks so cozy in the corner.  I also like all the wall decorations.  Obviously this room is a bit messy, but the bed works.

This room is a bit more of a classy bohemian style.  I like the white bedding and originally wanted to get something like it for my room, but knowing me I will get spill nail polish or get pen on the white sheets.  I am in love with the wall on the right, it is so cool.  And I am loving the light thing hanging over the bed.

Again, another awesome room.  This one stands out because of all the fun lanterns hanging- a really cool idea.  The mirror hanging above the bed is super unique and cool and I like the rug and the blankets/pillows on the bed.

Okay this room is straight up my dream bedroom.  The white sheet thing on top of the bed is so unique and I love the pillows and the color they bring.  The pictures and the posters on the wall are cool as well as the white lights.  I like how the bed is on the ground too, thats different.

I chose this last picture just as more pillow and bedding examples, I think thats the most important part of getting the bohemian vibe.

So, what are the necessities in order to obtain an awesome bedroom like the ones above?  I think there are four essentials.

1.) Pillows: try to get different shapes, colors, and patterns

2.) Rugs: i like this pattern, anything with stripes is always cool too.

3.) lights and lanterns: even candles too, add something cool and different!

4.) Curtains: fun curtains are your best bet, but if you think your room is getting too busy with color and patterns, try white curtains that are textured

I found lots of inspiration at Urban Outfitters under the apartment section, so check that out for more.

Selena Gomez Fashion

A little while ago I did Kylie Jenner street style fashion and it is one of my most viewed blogs, so today I decided to do Selena Gomez fashion, but instead of street style, some of my favorite dresses of hers.
1.  I think this gold dress is really fun and different, and super cute paired with the sparkly gold pumps.  I'm not crazy about Selena's hair for this look, but I love everything else (look close and even her nails are gold!)

 2.  This is probably my favorite dress look of Selena's.  Whatever color this is, I am obsessed with it!  And the two-piece style is really cool.  Her nude heels are cute, although kind of boring with the plain (but adorable!) dress.  I also love Selena's hair straightened.

 3.  This bright red dress is amazing.  Everything from the color and the sequins, and down to the cut at the bottom is so pretty.  I even love the wide sleeves in contrast to the tight dress.  Her lipstick is on point and the black shoes she paired work really well.

4.  I like the plain and simple look this white dress provides.  The bright white looks really good with her dark brown hair and is adorable paired with her clutch.  Again, she is wearing nude heels, and even though it is a plain look- I think it works and the nude pumps were a good choice.

5.  Last, but defiantly not least- this outfit is stunning!  The washed out pink is one of my favorite dress colors and I love how elegant the ruffle from the shoulder to the hip make this look. Her jewelry and shoes are on point, however I am not crazy about the black clutch.  I love her hair and makeup!

Look #2 was my favorite, which was yours?  Stay tuned in for more blogs.  You can follow me on bloglovin' by scrolling to the bottom of the page and pressing the follow button.

Another Rainy Day

It has been non-stop raining where I live so today I'm sharing what I wear on rainy days.  If you saw my last blog, it was also a rainy day theme.  You can view it here.

Today I paired faded denim jeans with some rips in them with my Bean Boots.  I was so glad to finally pull them out of my closet and start wearing them for this season!  I then wore one of my dad's sweatshirts, because thats what I always do...and put my black North Face raincoat over it.

It was a super cold day.  I was selling my school merchandise at the Farmer's Market in the rain so I was very cold.  Then my friends and I got lunch and took blog pictures, just a typical Saturday!
