Pattern Pants

Not only do these pants have a super fun pattern, but they are so flattering. Seriously, any body type could try them on and they would look good.  The detailing by the ankles is really unique and probably my favorite part about the pants.  All I did was wear a white tank top with them since the pattern is already busy, and added sunglasses and a cross body for a cute summer outfit.

Massachusetts has been really hot and muggy this week so I could only keep these pants on until around 10:30 when the sun was really shining, but I got to wear them out to breakfast and to do a few errands so they got some good use.  I'm going to the beach later today to cool off from the heat and cannot wait to take a dip.

Bedroom Tour

{Room Tour}

Lately I've been following bloggers showing pictures of their kitchens or living rooms, or overall redecorating their houses.  I love seeing how different personalities style different living spaces and gaining ideas from various bloggers.  Recently I did a bit of redecorating in my bedroom, and now that it is complete, I decided to share it.  I should mention the color scheme is mostly blue, orange, and red, with some grey.

Here is the grey area of my room.  That bench/ cushion thing folds open and I keep binders and other random things in it.  Inside the two bins, I keep stuff that I often use with friends like nail polish or magazines.

The bin in the corner I use for laundry, and right next to it I keep my charger.

I live on the third floor of my house, and I'm the only one, so my door is see through.  Sometimes I keep a curtain on it, but I like it open too.

My couch has a drape over it that I saw one day in Target, I think its the coolest thing ever.

I'm obsessed with this table and the bin on top, its probably my favorite part of my room.

I have two beds, I sleep on the one with the laptop.  These sheets are the most perfect things ever, the pattern is very cool.  I couldn't find them online, but if you're interested in hunting them down, they're Cynthia Rowley.

Instagram Round-Up

I just got back from what seems like a lifetime that I spent up in New Hampshire.  I was at girl camp for a whole month as a CIT (counselor in training), and had a blast.  Back to reality though.  Sorry the blog has been moving slowly, posts will be back to every other day, starting soon.  Summer has been much busier than I intended, but here's a few things I've been enjoying.

1. Eshakti

I received this dress from the clothing company Eshakti in the beginning of June.  It is so comfortable and I literally throw it on everyday when I go out to do errands or grab lunch with a friend.  Its cute and casual- I totally over wear this garment.

2. Sunsets

More than one thing I like in this picture.  First, watching sunsets is my new ish.  Second, friendship bracelets have been a must this summer and I love it.  Third, my friends are one by one starting to get their licenses, so we've been enjoying long car rides and blasting the radio.

3. Rain

Nothing makes me happier than when it rains in the summer.  The smell is so fresh and the rains provides some cooling off.  Not to mention, I am all about pulling my Hunters out of the closet.

4. Embroidered Shirts

Not going to lie, this is a picture of my friend.  I've been seeing embroidered patterns everywhere and cannot get enough of them.  Free People and Urban Outfitters have been selling the cutest embroidered clothing.

5. Redecorating My Room

I didn't want to show a full picture of my room because I'm going to do a post about it later, but I've been doing a few changes to my room, including my new sheets pictured above.  I love furniture shopping and scheming the colors, its been such a fun summer project.

Braided Hair Inspiration

During the summer I love experimenting with fun hairstyles, especially different kinds of braids.  I find my self constantly throwing up my hair into a loose braid, fishtail, or two french braids, but I never do anything really cool.  After browsing through some Pinterest pictures of braids I've been trying out several different looks and it has been really fun.  They take time to perfect, but now I have a few more hair do's up my sleeve.

These websites have some of my favorite hair tutorials:

Pink Roses

Totally went bohemian for todays outfit post.  I am overly obsessed with these harem pants from Tilly's.  They are beyond comfortable and super stylish too, whenever I wear them I get five million compliments.  The top I am wearing is from Urban Outfitters.  The low back allows me to show off some of my bandeaus which is nice because sometimes I buy nice bandeaus, but they never appear in my outfits.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm still wearing my full wrist of summer bracelets, and they're not coming off anytime soon!

Style Icon: Taylor Swift

July' style icon goes to Taylor Swift.  Every month I contemplate choosing her since her style is so classy and chic, and this month I finally decided to go for it.  If you skimmed through these pictures, you can probably tell I love the two piece outfits she wears.  Look number two is probably my favorite, it features one of the two piece outfits I'm talking about, and the shoes are amazing.  One more thing, Taylor Swift's hair looks so incredibly fashionable at the length in the above pictures, it makes me want shoulder length hair!  Make sure you check out my previous style icons, I choose one for every month, I'll have them linked below.

Kylie Jenner | Nina Dobrev | Selena Gomez | Vanessa Hudgens | Sarah Hyland | Miranda Kerr

Summer Ideas for When You Are Bored

{6 summer ideas to cure boredom}

1// Have a Pool Day
Yes this is obvious, but very effective.  Pull out all the pool floaties and toys you have, throw on your favorite bikini, pick out a few snacks, and you're all set.  Even call over a few friends and ask them to bring chips or cookies and you can make a day of it!

 2// Start a Blog
I started my blog at the end of last summer, and its been one of the best things I ever did.  I realized I love photography and being creative on my blog.  Writing posts provides an outlet for de-stressing and its something I really enjoy doing.  I recommend starting one, its free and really easy.

3// Tie Dye
I make sure to tie dye at least one t-shirt every year.  One year I used socks and it turned out awesome.  This is a great outdoor activity to do with yours friends and it is pretty inexpensive.  Just grab an old t-shirt and pick out some dye and you're ready to go!

4// Go on a Hike
This is something I am really trying to do a lot this summer.  I used to hike a lot, and want to start that up again.  Hiking is amazing exercise and the results are so worth it once you get the view.  Also, picnicking during the hike can be super fun so I recommend it.

5// Camping
I guess this connects to hiking, but camping is another great adventure for summer.  Whether you go with friends, your family, or a boyfriend, hiking always ends up being really fun and makes for some awesome memories and artsy pictures, am I right?

6// Try a Recipe
The fruit in the summer is amazing so it is prime time to try out all the recipes you've been noticing on Pinterest or seeing on Instagram health pages.  There are so many smoothies and salads I'm dying to try out this time of year, so stay tuned on the blog since I may be doing a post on that soon!
