Skincare Routine + Hand Care

To be honest, I'm really bad at keeping up with my skincare routine and probably only do it 3 times a week.  But, recently I've been better about it and have continuously been using the same products.  Every month I receive a Glossy Box which is a $21/month subscription service that gives you makeup and skincare products.  I've gathered a lot of new skincare products from the subscription box so have been trying lots of new products and finally have discovered the ones I like and that make a difference.

{SKINCARE}

These are the products I currently use on my face every morning and some nights.  Here is my step by step routine:

1. Cetaphil- I swear by Cetaphil it is the worlds best cleanser.  Every night or morning (whenever I take my shower) I use Cetaphil, and if I could only have one product for my skincare this would be it.  All I do is rub a quarter size amount over my face with my hands then rinse it off.

2. Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes- since I either take a shower morning or night, and you're supposed to cleanse twice a day, I use one of these Neutrogena wipes when I'm not in the shower and cannot use Cetaphil.  I love these wipes too because you just rub them all over your face then (this is optional) I rinse my face with water. Bonus- they smell so good!

3.  Kueshi Toner- I received this full size toner in my Glossy Box last month and have been loving it!  It gets rid of dry spots and evens out skin tone, while smelling amazing.  For this I apply it to a cotton ball then on to my entire face morning and night.

4. Juice Beauty Moisturizer- Another Glossy Box product, this moisturizer smells like green apple and works super well.  A lot of moisturizers sting my face, but this one does not.  I apply it after I put on my toner and let it ink in to my face while I do my hair.  Then on top of it I start my makeup routine.

{HANDCARE}

Another one of my new obsessions is having soft hands- don't ask why.  I received a lot of hand lotions and scrubs in my subscription packages and wanted to put them to use.  Once a day I use these two products to keep my hands soft and moisturized.

Rituals Miracle Scrub-  This scrub literally is a miracle and might be my favorite product of all time.  It is basically a salt scrub that you rub on your hands for 90 seconds then wash it off and instantly your hands feel so much softer.

Tocca Hand Cream- After I use the hands cub and dry off my hands, I put on this hand cream and it smells delicious.  This is the Green Tea and Lemon hand cream, and if you're thinking about purchasing one, I suggest this scent.

If you're having trouble deciding which products are worth buying for skincare, I suggest checking out GlossyBox where you'll get samples and full size items up to a $100 dollar value all for $21/month

Sweater Weather

I just realized that my last three blog posts of outfits have all been in sweaters...that pretty much sums up my winter wardrobe.  Sweaters are just the coziest things ever and match any style.  I finished up midyears yesterday so my school had the day off of school and I spent it mostly watching Gossip Girl, but ventured out to do a few errands and a little bit of shopping in the afternoon.  I wore a flannel and a long sweater with some super ripped jeans that I found in the back of my closet from last year.  Of course I also had to wear my bean boots and a bunch of silver jewelry.

Might have been about to fall backwards in this picture...

Snowy Friday

Today was a snowy day and I wanted comfortable and cute Friday look.  I quickly took pictures before I headed up to Connecticut for a volleyball tournament, but unfortunately the pictures aren't the best quality because the snow and wind was crazy!  I wore my Lulu Lemon Leggings which are a wardrobe essential, especially for Fridays.  Then I wore a plain tank top and long Brandy Melville sweater.  I'm currently in a hotel room with 3 of my teammates so tonights blog is kinda short.

Long Weekend Travel Essentials and Tips

I am going to Connecticut this upcoming long weekend, Martin Luther King Weekend!  Packing for a three night stay can sometimes be a struggle because you're there for such a short time, what do you really need?  I also always forget something, so I made a checklist for basic travel items that are commonly forgotten and are total necessities.

Moisturizer
*Pajamas
Makeup Bag + Remover Wipes
Straightener
Deodorant
*Hair Elastics
*Toothbrush and Toothpaste
Shampoo and Conditioner
Comfy Sweatshirt
Sweatpants
Laptop

I devote one bag to makeup, one for hair elastics/headbands/other hair stuff, and one for jewelry.

Bringing my new favorite pajama set from Nordstrom, the shirt is long sleeved and go with some fuzzy shorts.

When I travel for a weekend I find it best to bring a big duffle bag.  The ones given out by Victoria's secret for free when you spend around $75 (something like that) are great for short getaways and always seem to be the right size.

Hope this helped and you don't forget anything if you're going away this weekend!

New Year, New Boots

I finally found some time to take blog pictures!  This week I did not post a lot unfortunately, with midyears coming up and loads of essays and tests, this week has been quite hectic. Good news, my new riding boots arrived in the mail on Friday!  After Christmas there were many good deals and I really wanted some riding boots.  I'd been saving up and hoping to buy boots for about $200, but I found the best deal.  Nine West was having 50% off of everything after Christmas and I bought my new boots for $99.  It was such a good deal and I absolutely love them.

Favorite Photography from Winter Break

If you have been following my past few blogs, you may have noticed an improvement in the quality of my pictures.  For Christmas my parents gave me the Canon Rebel T3i, an awesome camera that I've had my eye on for a while now.  While I was away over Winter Break, I had the chance to test it out and here are a few of my favorite shots so far:

First of all, this dog is precious.  I LOVE animals so taking pictures of my cousins dog was so much fun, I love how her collar slightly shows her name too.

This is one of the first pictures I took in Arizona.  The background perfectly describes Arizona with the cacti, mountains, and horses.

Although this picture doesn't really have a focus, the lights looked so pretty around the holiday season and I wanted to capture that.

This is one picture from the blog 'Dude Ranch Style', cannot get enough of the mountains!

I took these last two shots while sitting by the pool waiting for my sisters.  I love the pictures where the background is super blurred, they are so school.

Styling High Waisted Jeans

I am back in Massachusetts, so unfortunately the scenery in these pictures aren't as good as what I posted while in Arizona and California.  BUT it is great to be home again.  The weather here is pretty cold, although there isn't any snow yet, so taking these blog pictures was freezing cold, and the pictures aren't my best.  Welcome back to winter in New England!

Anyways, today I wanted to finally wear my maroon high waisted jeans from American Eagle which I purchased back in September.  They haven't gotten much use since I find them difficult to style, but today I put together a casual outfit with the jeans that is actually pretty cute.  Of course I used a crop top because of the high waist, but what was most difficult was picking out shoes to wear.  I think combat boots look good, but I actually really like how flats looked with my high waisted jeans, so thats what I decided on.

The striped shirt was struggling to show up correctly on camera...

 Love the cute zipper pockets!

The shoes and bag are both from a local store.
