Fashion Trends: Head wraps

By far, one of my favorite trends from the summer, that will surely carry into the fall, have been head wraps.  Head wraps add that extra pop an outfit needs and provides a chic way to style your hair even on bad hair days.  I see them a lot of places like forever 21 and in little boutiques, but my favorite place to add to my collection of head wraps is Urban Outfitters.  The price is generally around $12-$16 for one which is a pretty good deal, but if you check out Forever 21 you can find them for half the price- as usual.  The one I am wearing (pictured below) is from Urban.

Ignore the burn on the back go my legs- yikes!

 What I wore
Headwrap- Urban Outfitters (sold out) similar
Shirt- Forever 21
Shorts- Forever 21
School starts back up in one more week!  Look for my next post on healthy school lunch ideas (will be posted Sept. 1st).

My day in Photos

Hi Everyone!  What's upppp?  Today I thought it would be fun to share with you my day in photos.  So basically I took pictures throughout the day that represented what I was doing to tell the story of my day.  Apologies for having just about the most boring day ever BUT at least I'm posting something.  Here we go:

7:15 am- When I woke up I had a quick breakfast and I chose a healthy meal because I ha volleyball right after I ate.  I ate a juicy green apple which was delicious.  I've been obsessing over green apples lately- probably just a phase.  Then I ate some plain granola because granola is amazing, especially BOLA granola.  It has almonds in it which gave me protein and the apple and rest of the granola provided me with enough energy for volleyball.
8:00 am- I had two and a half hours of volleyball.  I looked like a mess since it was 8am so I opted not to post a picture of myself in my volleyball outfit.  I love having my workouts in the morning since you feel in shape and don't feel too guilty if you have a sweet tooth later.  Plus you have the rest of the day free!
11:30 am-  I headed back to my school to get my school photo for picture day and it was definitely not my best picture.  A couple of tips for school pictures:  Don't wear a tank top unless you have muscular arms since the photo highlights the side of your arm and for me that gets a little 'jiggly'.  Also, make sure to use powder ESPECIALLY on your T-zone because the last thing you want is to look shiny and greasy.  Finally, sit up straight to look tall, lean, and confident.  I wore a Forever 21 blouse for the picture which I then proceeded to wear to the beach.
12:45 pm- My friend Maeve and I went to the beach for some relaxing time in the sun, plus it may be our last beach day this summer.  I wore a bathing suit from Victoria's Secret and threw over my Forever 21 blouse.  The bag I am carrying is from American Eagle.
4:00 pm-  I left the beach with a total burn on the back of my legs.  Ouch!  But, it was a successful beach day and I really enjoyed the weather and relaxation.  And of course the ice cream truck.  Pictured above are my Coach Flip Flops which I have totally over worn and are wearing out.

6:00 pm-  Dinner Time!  Maeve and I got caesar salad wraps from a local cafe.  Mine was on a spinach wrap (my all time favorite thing).  And then we had cookies for dessert!

That was my day!  Unfortunately I didn't take any more pictures for the rest of the day but I'll let you know what happened.  A couple more of my friends came over and we hung out, once they left I watched 'Dance Moms'.  Then ever since 10 pm I have been blogging and editing.  That was my day and I will talk to you all soon.

Boston Look

Last night I headed into Boston for a night with the family.  We walked around the city and made our way into my favorite part of Boston...the North End.  I love the North End because of the vibe of all the Italian restaurants and the delicious bakeries.

For this casual night out, I still wanted to look cute.  I paired my loose black American Eagle shorts (similar) with a J. Crew tank top and Jean jacket.  I then added my gold necklace from Forever 21 and wedges by Yellow Box.  This outfit was perfect for the weather since it was in the low 70's.  Jean jackets can be paired with anything to make a cute look and I thought the gold tinted wedges and necklace worked really nicely together and made for a nice 'POP'.

This afternoon/night trip was really fun and walking around the city never disappoints.  That's all for today and I will talk to you all soon!

Ciao Bella!

I've been thinking of starting a blog for quite some months now.  For several reasons but, those are all boring so I'm going to skip those.  I want to tell you a little bit about myself so I'm not a complete stranger on my own blog.

My name is Emma and I am a sophomore in high school.  I play volleyball, love make up, have an obsession with watching YouTube videos, and find my favorite subject in school to be English.  My family and I have been on some crazy traveling adventures to countries like Turkey, Bulgaria, Panama, Poland, Turks and Caicos, etc... so I definitely have developed a love for different cultures and from now on will be taking my camera to blog about my upcoming adventures (next will probably be to the Dominican Republic!)

I'd describe my style as the opposite of a 'prepster' and I idolize Kylie Jenner and Amanda Steele's fashion sense.  High waisted shorts, head wraps, and combat boots are my everyday go-to looks, but don't get me wrong I have random days where I decide to go preppy or go major edgy.  Rarely do I put on a dress, although I do love love love skirts!  You'd find me shopping at PacSun or Forever 21, stores like that.

One major thing I forgot.  I am literally obsessed with organizing.  My room, closet, makeup, backpack, locker, jewelry, shoes, bathroom, and much much more are organized down to the last straw.  On this blog I cannot wait to share some of my organization tips with all of you.

I hope I can entertain and enlighten you with my traveling, fashion, and organization tips, tricks, and stories!  I will be posting at least two times a week and hope you'll join.
